Students speak out against sexual assault

The Dean of Student’s office has developed new guidelines that call for UNC to more actively investigate sexual assault.

That comes after Vice President Joe Biden and the Obama administration recently pushed college administrators throughout the country to do a better job responding to reports of sexual assault on campuses.

UNC recently held a speak-out event where testimonials of sexual assault cases were read aloud to draw attention to the fact that the crimes often go unreported.
