Task Force to monitor student-athlete performance

The UNC system is examining how student athletes are in the classroom.

The Board of Governors has created a task force in response to the NCAA and UNC investigations into the Tar Heel football program. Those investigations began last summer and found some football players had committed academic misconduct.

The task force is headed by East Carolina University Chancellor Steve Ballard.
