A controversial Imam brought a national debate to Chapel Hill this week. Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf has been involved with the effort to construct a mosque and cultural center near Ground Zero in New York. His visit to UNC Wednesday night drew a group of furious protesters. Nothing unusual for the Imam. But it also drew UNC students together.
