Student Union pushes for fee increase

Among the issues being debated on campus in advance of this year’s student body elections:   should UNC students pay higher fees to fund renovations of the Student Union?   The building in the heart of campus — where students study, eat and hang out — is showing its age, and Union administrators want it updated.   But the project would raise student fees, and opponents say it’s not necessary.
