Spurling was the director of Kenan Stadium and the Kenan Football Center, responsible for the entire facility. He was 68 years old. We’re joined by Lee Pace — author, historian, and featured columnist on UNC’s Athletics website, GoHeels.com, where he writes about the Tar Heel football team. He also authored Spurling’s obituary for Carolina Athletics. He spoke with Carolina Connection’s Anthony Guerra-Flores.
