For patients at UNC and Duke Hospitals, volunteer musicians offer comfort and connection

Volunteer programs at UNC and Duke University Hospitals are delivering a different kind of medicine: music. In a stressful environment, performers playing their instruments provide comfort and connection to patients, visitors, and healthcare workers.
