School of Data Science and Society will be UNC’s newest professional school

Next semester, UNC is scheduled to launch its first professional school since 2001. The School of Data Science and Society plans to offer undergraduate, masters and PhD degree programs to students interested in majoring in data science.

Carolina Connection’s Brianna Atkinson spoke to Computer Science Professor Jay Aikat, who’s been involved in the school’s planning since its onset.
