UNC’s Flock contract is soon up for renewal; student group wants them gone

There are at least 23 Flock cameras on UNC’s campus – security cameras, owned by a private company, that record images of cars and people on campus. UNC installed them as a safety measure after a campus shooting in 2023. Now, a student group wants them taken down.
