Under fire from critics, UNC’s Women and Gender Studies department pushes for open dialogue

Feminism, woman, transgender. Those are words that appear on UNC’s Women and Gender Studies department website. They’re also words being targeted as a part of the Trump Administration’s fight against diversity, equity, and inclusion.

As women and gender studies programs across the country are forced to shut their doors, Carolina Connection’s Rachel Moody talked with students and faculty about the challenges UNC’s department is facing.
