Unless Congress reverses a new federal law, hemp products will be almost entirely banned this fall

The hemp industry in Chapel Hill – and across the country – is facing an uncertain future. In November, when Congress ended the government shutdown, it snuck in language that reclassified hemp to try to prevent the sale of intoxicating hemp products.
