Citing ‘constrained’ revenue, UNC-CH trustees call for $16.5 million more in budget cuts

The UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees says the university has to spend less money. They voted last week to cut the budget $87 million.  That’s about $16 million than they had originally decided to cut last summer.

The reductions specifically target administrative spending, and that’s raised concerns across campus about potential staff layoffs.
