As UNC approaches finals, demand for mental health support grows

As UNC students take their final exams, campus mental health services are preparing for what is often the busiest time of the year.

Over the past several years, students have experienced some of the university’s most difficult moments. The university has some new resources – and some well-established ones – that provide counseling and treatment.

Brooks Stevenson has more.

If you’re a student looking for support, CAPS is available 24/7 at 919-966-3658, and students interested in peer well-being coaching can fill out the interest form on the UNC School of Social Work website.

Anyone who needs urgent support can call 988 – the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
