‘It’s not a joke’: Fed up with squirrels, some Durham residents want limits on wildlife feeders

In the south Durham neighborhood of Trotter Ridge, residents say squirrels are running rampant—targeting not just acorns—but also their property. The rodents caused so much damage that residents are turning to Durham’s City Council for help. Some say the large number of squirrels can be traced to wildlife feeders.
