We’re five games into the Bill Belichick era in Chapel Hill, and it’s hard to say anything positive about the football program. The team is 2-3 and has suffered some brutal losses. One of Belichick’s assistant coaches has been suspended for violating NCAA rules. Hulu has scraped a docuseries about the team. And former provost Chris Clemons has filed a lawsuit claiming that the UNC Board of Trustees violated the state open meetings law when Belichick was hired.

This week, amid media reports that Belichick and UNC may part ways, he said he remains “fully committed” to the program. UNC Athletic Director Bubba Cunningham said Belichick has the university’s full support.

We joined by Jesse Carrico of SpotsXtra – the weekly sportscast produced by students here at the Hussman School of Journalism and Media.
