Five years after pandemic, Chapel Hill K-12 schools continue to combat learning loss

It was five years ago this month that schools closed for spring break … and didn’t reopen because of COVID-19. The pandemic has left many elementary and middle school students still struggling with basic reading comprehension and math concepts. 

Melodi Carty spoke to educators in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School district to learn more about what is being done to help students.
