Recent changes at UNC leave some Black students feeling less welcome

Black enrollment in UNC’s first year class – the class of 2028 –  is 26% lower than the class of 2027, according to demographic data the university released. This comes after last year’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling against affirmative action and UNC’s recent abolishment of DEI programs.

Some Black students report feeling isolated as they navigate campus. Hannah Adams reports.
