After a challenging renovation of a historic building, Raising Cane’s is ready to serve Chapel Hill

The building at the northeast corner of Franklin and Columbia Streets – which once housed Spanky’s restaurant –  has been empty since 2021. National fast food chain Raising Cane’s has been planning to move in since then, but the journey has been far from easy. Now, it has finally announced its grand opening.
