Class of 2023’s senior mural depicts a unique college experience shaped by the pandemic

The mural is located outside of the entrance to the Great Hall in the student union (Henry Taylor / Carolina Connection)

The end of the school year means senior traditions have been well underway, including the unveiling of a senior mural. The class of 2023 had all four years of college shaped by the pandemic, with this year’s mural showing the resilience of the “Carolina Experience.” The mural features scenes of a Franklin Street rush, the quad, and the Old Well.

Its artist, senior Kate Kerr, walked Carolina Connection’s Savannah Gunter through the mural.
