Legacy admissions face increased scrutiny in the wake of Supreme Court case

UNC and Harvard went to the U.S. Supreme Court a few weeks ago to defend their race-conscious admissions policies. But race isn’t the only kind of preferential consideration that colleges give to potential applicants.

As Chris Kammerer reports, so-called “legacy admissions” also are attracting scrutiny.
