November election will determine partisan balance of NC Supreme Court

An election is coming up for seats on the North Carolina Supreme Court. Democrats currently have a 4 to 3 majority, but Republicans only need to win one race to flip the court in their favor. With redistricting, abortion, election laws, and other issues potentially on the docket in the coming years, this election could influence several important cases.
