UNC’s Hussman School of Journalism and Media has a new dean, and he faces a big challenge. Last school year, the national organization that accredits journalism schools granted UNC only provisional accreditation. It said UNC failed to meet standards in inclusion and diversity, among other things. The school now has to make changes to meet the council’s approval. Here to talk about his plans is the new dean – Raul Reis. He was previously dean at Emerson College and Florida International University.
