A report released on Thursday by the American Association of University Professors alleged that the Republican-dominated state legislature has been interfering in the UNC system’s leadership and governance. The watchdog group pointed to efforts to promote a conservative ideology on multiple campuses, from appointments to the Board of Governors to the closure of campus specialty centers.

Tori Ekstrand, a professor at the Hussman School and a First Amendment scholar, joins Carolina Connection’s Daniel Myrick to talk about the implications of these findings for free speech on campus.
