UNC’s mask mandate remains in place, but students don’t always comply

In North Carolina and across the country, mask mandates are starting to fall. Mecklenburg and Wake counties, the largest counties in the state, will lift their mandates by the end of next week.

Orange County leaders have decided to keep their mandate in place at least until early March. For now, UNC students are still required to wear masks indoors on campus, but they do not always follow the rules.
