Orange County announces new bail policy focused on minor offenses

Orange County has implemented a new bail policy – and that means people charged with crimes won’t have to spend days in jail because they can’t afford to post bond.  It’s designed to make the justice system less preferential to people who have more money. The judges who oversee the county courts signed the policy last month.
