UNC makes “wellness days” a permanent part of the campus calendar

As exam stress spreads on campus, UNC has announced that it will add a wellness day to its spring 2022 semester and build them into each semester’s calendar in the future. Wellness days are meant to give students a break from classwork and help them prioritize their well-being, but some community members aren’t convinced that a wellness day is enough to address larger mental health concerns on campus.
