The Orange County Public Library removes late fees to increase accessibility

The Orange County Public Library has joined several other local libraries in going fee-free.  (Orange County)

The Orange County Public Library has gone fine-free. Eliminating fines for overdue materials is part of the library’s effort to remove barriers to using the library. Other libraries have found that getting rid of fines encourages people to return long-overdue items and start using the library again. Sara Raja reports.
