At 21, UNC alum Chris Suggs has been elected to his hometown city council

UNC Class of 2021 alumnus Chris Suggs just became one of the youngest elected officials in North Carolina. He secured one of two seats on Kinston city council at the age of 21. He has also served on the Governor’s Crime Commission and was appointed to the North Carolina Task Force on Safer Schools. At Carolina, Suggs was president of the Black Student Movement and president of the class of 2021.

Ava Pukatch sat down to speak with him.
