National gun legislation has a difficult path to passage due to partisan differences

Last week, a gunman killed eight people in Atlanta. Six days later, 10 people were killed in a mass shooting in a Boulder, Colorado grocery store. President Biden has since called for immediate action on gun control legislation. Senate leaders say they’ll move fast to bring a House-passed package to a vote that tightens background checks.

Meredith Radford spoke about gun rights and gun control legislation with Darrell Miller, a professor at Duke University and the co-director of the Duke Center for Firearms Law.
