Parents of children in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools are trying to decide if they should send their kids back to in-person learning. It’s been almost a year since students last entered the school buildings, as they’ve been remote since March 2020. Now, the district is preparing for a return to in-person instruction. Under the district’s plan, students will have the option to return to school April 19th. However, there’s a possibility that a state-wide mandate could force the district to bring students back in mid-March.
