Carrboro Town Council and local artists advocate racial justice with Black Lives Matter murals

Last week, the Carrboro Town Council officially recognized the completion of two Blacks Lives Matter murals, which were unveiled in December. The murder of George Floyd last summer inspired Black Lives Matter protests all over the country and these protests started local conversations about how to advocate for racial justice in a public space. With these murals, the Town Council and local artists hope to unify the community.
