Stepping up to bat: New UNC baseball coach takes charge in an unprecedented season

By Daniel Myrick

The UNC baseball team will be facing some big changes this season as they welcome a new coach. Mike Fox, who coached the Heels baseball team for 22 seasons, retired from the program last August. In his tenure, he led the Heels to seven College World Series appearances, and had more wins under his belt than any other coach in UNC baseball history.

Moving forward, longtime pitching coach Scott Forbes will be taking charge of the program in this unprecedented season.
