Lawsuit alleges UNC admission process discriminates against white and Asian-American applicants

UNC-Chapel Hill went to court this week to defend itself in a lawsuit concerning its admissions process. In a case that started Monday, a private organization claims UNC unfairly considers race in admissions. It says the university intentionally discriminates against white and Asian-American applicants –  and favors Black and Hispanic applicants instead.
