Some college students are calling for an end to Greek life

Duke University’s Zeta Tau Alpha tried to disband following conversations surrounding the organization’s rush process and racial history but was denied by the national organization. (Duke Zeta Tau Alpha chapter)

Some Greek organizations on college campuses across the country are abolishing themselves. Students at universities like Duke, Vanderbilt and UNC, say fraternities and sororities need to shut down. They say the organizations promote racism, classism and elitism.
