UNC soccer player opts out of season to play professionally in England

While the UNC Women’s Soccer team begins their season this weekend, they’ll be without three of their star players – Alessia Russo, Lois Joel, and Lotte Wubben-Moy. All three former Tar Heels opted out of the 2020 season to pursue professional playing careers in England.

Carolina Connection’s Kyle Mehlman spoke with Wubben-Moy about her decision and what she’ll miss most about being a Tar Heel.
