UNC study identifies obesity as a COVID-19 risk factor

A UNC study has revealed that people with obesity are at higher risk of developing health complications from COVID-19. The study also suggested that any Coronavirus vaccine that’s developed may be less effective in obese people.

Carolina Connection’s Meredith Radford spoke with one of the head researchers on this study, Melinda Beck, about what this means for those with obesity during the pandemic
