New UNC app helps healthcare workers care for their own mental health

The coronavirus pandemic is taking its toll on healthcare workers across the country.

To combat this, a UNC professor and emergency doctor created the Heroes Health app. Launched in July, the app aims to provide mental health check-ins and resources to people dedicating their lives to making sure others stay healthy.
