New app aims to get UNC Hospital pediatric patients active

By CeeCee Huffman

The creator of the app, Steven King and his son Hudson, have been testing the app. (CeeCee Huffman / UNC Media Hub).

Being confined to a hospital is hard, especially for children, and young patients often don’t get the physical activity they need during their stay. Two UNC faculty members have teamed up to create a mobile game to get kids moving. It’s called “Adventure Squad,” and it’s designed to get pediatric patients out of their beds and into the halls.
