A local rugmaker was inspired to help women in Nicaragua after she struggled with Lyme disease

Every Saturday at the Carrboro Farmers’ Market, Carol Blackmore sells handwoven rugs that she’s been making for over two decades. She has been weaving her whole life, and it helped her through battling Lyme disease, as well as inspired her to help women in Nicaragua.
