Monday, a federal judge reinstated an Obama era rule that will require large companies to report salary data by gender and race to the government. Opponents of the rule argue it is an unfair and expensive burden for employers with no potential benefits. But a recent study from a professor at UNC’s Kenan Flagler Business School suggests otherwise. Emma Peaslee has the story.
