UNC’s Silent Sam decision looms. Is compromise possible?

For 103 days, an empty pedestal has sat on McCorkle Place after protesters pulled down Silent Sam. Now UNC is finally scheduled to reveal the plan for what it will do with the Confederate statue.

The Board of Trustees has scheduled a special meeting Monday at 8:00 a.m.
