More young people have heart infections; a UNC doctor says opioids are to blame

Heart valve infections mostly tend to affect older people as their valves age and weaken. But rates of heart infection in young people have increased tenfold in North Carolina.

A UNC researcher says the opioid crisis is to blame. Mitra Norowzi has the story.
