Silent Sam decision delayed: The Board of Trustees to make a recommendation in December

A decision about Silent Sam was scheduled to be announced this coming Thursday. But the people deciding the fate of the Confederate statue will continue to be silent a little bit longer.

The UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees has asked for an extension of the November 15 deadline. And the UNC System Board of Governors announced they’ve granted that extension.
