UNC students and faculty gathered in the pit Thursday to stand in solidarity, and honor those killed in the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting. North Carolina Hillel, a Jewish organization on many of the state’s college campuses, organized the event, leading students through traditional songs and prayers to mourn the tragedy of lives lost to antisemitism and hate.
