Basketball corruption trial sheds light on fraud, secret payments

Federal trials began this week in a corruption scandal involving many college basketball programs. UNC is not one of them, but three fellow ACC schools – Louisville, Miami and NC State – are mentioned in the indictment. An FBI investigation into the recruiting process led to the federal trial.

Dr. B. David Ridpath, an Associate Professor of Sports Management at Ohio University joins us to talk about the trial and the issues facing college hoops.
