University researchers try to generate pickle power

When you think of Mount Olive Pickle Company, what comes to mind? Maybe it’s the kosher dill chips or the bread and butter wedges?

How about a frontier for alternative energy solutions?

A team of UNC and NC State researchers is working to make that unusual idea a reality with a new scientific initiative. Jared Weber has the story from Mount Olive.
