New study: Being tall is not an advantage for black men

A UNC graduate student’s research has gotten national recognition over the past few weeks. Neil Hester is studying social psychology and recently released a study showing white men may benefit from being taller, but black men generally do not.

His study examined how participants perceived different people, depending on their heights and race. The numbers say tall black men are consistently described as more threatening than tall white men.
