New interactive arts space opens on Franklin St.

A new black box theater and adjacent studio space, called “Current” opened on Franklin St. Friday morning.

It’s a collaboration between Carolina Performing Arts and Carolina Square, the new mixed-use development on Franklin St.

The space was designed for large installations and performances that involve the audience.
