New Hanes Art Center gallery focuses on Peruvian culture

This is one of the paintings on display in the new gallery (Kennedy Erdossy/Carolina Connection).

Hanes Art Center opened a new exhibit of paintings that will run until February 18.

Artist Renzo Ortega uses vibrant colors and abstract depictions of Peruvian-inspired scenes, as a platform to share his story, not his politics.
