UNC’s med school opts for animal-free training

UNC has one of the top medical schools in the world, but one practice has long been criticized by animal rights activists.

Students studying emergency medicine used live pigs for training. Now, UNC has joined the majority of universities that opt instead for animal-free methods.

George Heath reports on the change.

    alternative to animal cruelty.
