UNC’s and Duke’s Special Olympics organizations face each other in a basketball game that also carries an important message.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Charlie Scott’s enrollment at UNC. Scott, who enrolled in 1966, was the university’s first scholarship black athlete. A new exhibit at Wilson library honors him.
